The product filters out background NOx gases to give accurate CO level indications to provide a high-accuracy carbon-monoxide reading.
NOx gases can cause inaccurate readings, setting off false alarms and causing production disruption.
“The Sentro D gives the most accurate carbon monoxide readings possible in environments rich in diesel fumes which is used as an indicator of fire in some hazardous environments,” Trolex said.
The basis of the detector is the eModule, a standardised gas sensing module that can detect carbon monoxide at levels of 0 to 50 parts per million.
Built-in fixed limits are checked against to detect if the sensing element is over or under-sensitive.
Two user adjustable alarm set-points allow configurable alarm levels appropriate to a user’s operating scenario.
The Sentro D’s output signal can interface directly with intrinsically safe equipment, and can be networked to a PC via a barrier for central control and monitoring.
