ASX directors quit amid scandal
Two directors of the Australian Securities Exchange have resigned after becoming embroiled in a financial scandal in the United States.
According to the ABC, Russell Aboud and Shane Finemore will leave the ASX after their investment firm, Manikay Partners, was fined by the US Securities and Exchange Commission.
Manikay was one of 23 firms fined for breeching a ban on short-selling shares during 2009.
ASX chairman Rick Holliday-Smith said the pair's decision did not raise concerns about the governance of the ASX.
