As in past years, the event will be held at the Brushfork Armory Civic Center on September 14-16. Organizers have already received many signed contracts from exhibitors, including many industry newcomers.
The last Bluefield Coal Show in 2009 attracted more than 230 vendors and a final count of attendees exceeded 6000. It has become known as the largest coal show in the eastern US.
“[The] show has earned a reputation for providing a viable venue to market the machinery, products and services of the most abundant and secure energy source of our nation to a select group of qualified attendees and professionals,” the Bluefield Chamber said in its formal announcement of the event earlier this month.
“In 2011, the tradition continues to be the coal show for coal people.”
