Condor to head up ACT

Condor has been employed by the company for six years and his roles have included general manager and engineering manager.

Condor’s appointment and others to follow will strengthen the company’s position and help ensure its customers receive first class results, the company said.

Owner of the ACT group of companies Peter Howard is taking up a pivotal role as chairman of the board as more directors are appointed in the near future.

Howard will also maintain an active focus on the ACT (Europe) cable handling division, which manufactures the Scorpion Longwall and the Aconda Gate cable handling systems.

ACT Australia will continue to focus on supplying longwall single line products, including JDT longwall chain and connectors, ACTA AFC/BSL flight bars and the customised Scorpion cable handler.

As agents for JDT Germany, ACT maintains a large inventory of JDT F-Class chain HO and connectors. The team has in-depth knowledge of the product portfolio and can offer support and accurate advice to their customers about the JDT range of chains, the company said.
