A ‘B Grade’ was awarded as part of the Fitzroy Partnership for River Health Report Card, QRC acting CEO Greg Lane said.
“In the face of both drought and floods during this reporting period, it’s encouraging to see that the collective efforts of the Fitzroy Partnership has delivered consistently good results,” Lane said.
“The sector is committed to minimising its impact on the environment and promotes transparency through the report, which is scrutinised by an independent scientific panel.
“Even in the face of a severe downturn, QRC and its member companies remain committed to the Partnership, continual monitoring and improvement of waterways.”
The 2014-15 report card marks half a decade of reporting for the Fitzroy that has grown into a valuable dataset of more than 3.76 million samples.
