In what appears to be an ongoing green campaign, grassroots group Rising Tide was behind a similar but larger protest last Monday at the Bayswater Power Station in the Hunter Valley, New South Wales.
Reported by ABC News three protesters entered the grounds of the Burnett power station this morning at around 7am.
Two succeeded in chaining themselves to the conveyor belt that feeds coal into the station for about five hours, but did not succeed in threatening power supplies.
Police were called in to address the situation while a Tarong spokesman said there was a plant evacuation after the security breach occurred.
