The previous industrial action at the mine on the northern tip of Queensland’s Bowen Basin ceased a week ago.
But negotiations between mine operator Thiess and the Construction Forestry Mining and Energy Union this week have resulted in another version of the EA.
CFMEU district vice-president Steve Pierce told ILN some changes had been made but not to the extent that members would have liked.
He said the workers at the mine would have some time to consider the new proposed EA and see whether it was acceptable.
Pierce did not want to reveal too much more because the workers were yet to receive the documentation.
The previous EA expired more than two years ago.
The main disagreement was over the inclusion of a job security clause into a new enterprise agreement.
Recent industrial action included not only strikes, but protests at attempts by Xstrata Coal to rail the coal out.
