The event is scheduled for October 28 to 30 at the Omni William Penn Hotel and follows up the agency's 2007 CMM conference in St Louis, Missouri.

Organisers promise an in-depth examination of new projects and updates on existing as well as new technology and future forecasts. Also included for attendees will be a field trip to a Consol Energy/CNX Gas advanced degasification and methane recovery operation site.

The EPA said last week it is still developing the itinerary for the event. Hot topics for last year included both domestic and international projects and case studies as well as ventilation air methane (VAM) technology.
