Methane gas explosions rocked the colliery in May last year, killing at least 68 people while more than 20 miners remain unaccounted for.
The mine workings of a seam close to the expected location of the blocked-off miners were recently degassed.
“Priority 2011 objectives for Raspadskaya’s team are set – recommencement of production at all seams of Raspadskaya mine and achievement of the preâ€accident monthly levels of production and sales by the end of this year,” Raspadskaya chief executive Gennady Kozovoy said.
“In 2011, we also plan to resume our export sales.”
Total raw coal production slumped 32% year-on-year to 7.16 million tonnes in 2010 as a result of the disaster.
December quarter output increased 15% to 1.27Mt compared to the previous quarter as the company started a new face at its Koksovaya mine.
Production from one face at the Raspadskaya mine also started on December 16, the first output from the large underground mine since the tragedy.
