Three Russian coalfields go under hammer

According to Interfax, the coalfields were purchased under 20-year licenses for open-pit operations.

The Kuzbassrazrezugol Coal Company purchased a coalfield in the Novokuznetsk district, said to contain reserves of 59.8 million tonnes of A+B+C1 power generating coal.

In the same district, Razrez Kamyshansky purchased the rights to an area containing contains 5.356 million tonnes of power generating coal.

Siberian Coal and Energy Company (SUEK) bought a bituminous coal field in the Leninsk-Kuznetsky district, said to contain reserves of 53.456 million tonnes.
