Eastern expects to release final test results in the new year.

Further exploration drilling has been scheduled at Eastern’s Broughton project in early January.

Drilling will identify any extra coal tonnage which may exist within the exploration permit. The program previously commenced in early November but was interrupted by rain.

Further drilling will also be undertaken to take the resource to Measured Status. Two drilling rigs have been secured to enable the programs to be completed as soon as possible.

At Whareatea West the proposed drilling program will commence pending approval from the New Zealand Department of Conservation.
