Revenue lifted 49% to $26 million, with the major growth area for the company being its consulting practice, where revenue lifted 32%.
“This illustrates our success in attracting and retaining skilled resources in the mining engineering market, which is currently struggling with a major skills shortage,” Runge CEO Tony Kinnane said.
Runge executive director Christian Larsen said the company is focusing on a few core areas of opportunities for business growth – software and consulting, acquisitions and new product lines.
“We've been fortunate enough to excel at all of these, particularly in Australia where we exceeded expectations in the software practice and in South Africa where consulting budgets came in higher than expected,” he said.
“Our key focus is to increase recruitment to keep up with demand in consulting, and we are also investing $1.3 million in research and development in Australia to keep expanding the software business.”
