Based in Kolkata, eastern India, SRG specialises in geological modelling, mine planning and resource valuation.
“SRG has also developed international experience by providing consulting services in various countries such as Indonesia, Turkey, Iran, Kazakhstan, Oman, Mexico, [Democratic Republic of the] Congo, Mozambique, Morocco and Liberia,” IMC said.
Led by managing director TN Gunaseelan, SRG will continue on with its existing directors VS Rao and Hemen Bhagawati. Joining the SRG board are IMC staff members Barry Edwards, Chris Wells and Arif Anwar, with Gunaseelan also joining IMC’s board.
SRG now encompasses a group of about 30 individuals for its services in the environmental, mining, minerals, engineering and energy industries worldwide.
“IMC’s acquisition of SRG will bring a permanent Indian presence,” IMC said.
IMC is a subsidiary of German-based DMT.
