Valvex was founded in 1971 and specialises in explosion-proof solenoid valves and valve groups that are used extensively in underground mines and in several Voith Turbo applications.
The company will be fully integrated into Voith Tubo’s electric control and drive technology market area at its Crailsheim location.
Voith said the Valvex products were used where high availability was the main criterion in environments with explosion hazards. The valves are used for dust suppression on crushers and transfer spraying and for the control of armored chain and belt conveyors (in Voith Turbo couplings).
In the Australian market Valvex products have been traditionally sold through Voith Turbo as the agent to OEMs and mines.
