First coal sale from Universal's Kangala colliery

With first revenues flowing, the Kangala colliery has successfully transitioned from the capital development phase to the operational phase.

Completion of the dense medium separation section of the plant is expected by the end of May 2014, following which up to 100,000tpa production of export quality thermal coal will commence.

Universal is continuing to finalise the New Clydesdale colliery acquisition as it seeks to grow its production profile further.
