The new equipment order consists of four Armored Face Conveyors (AFCs), two model 7LS6 shearers, four model 12CM27 high voltage continuous miners, three model 12CM15 continuous miners and a bolter miner.
Joy said this important order continues the long and successful relationship between the two companies that began in the early 1990’s. Since then, Joy has become one of the preeminent suppliers to Shenhua Coal Corporation.
The new order increases the Joy fleet at Shenhua to 11 shearers, 14 AFCs, 39 continuous miners and 2 miner bolters. In addition, Shenhua operates three sets of Joy roof supports and 14 Joy shuttle cars.
Shenhua, through its operating company Shendong Coal Corporation, is engaged in the development of the Shenfu-Dongsheng Coalfield located on the border of Shaanxi Province and the Autonomous Region of Inner Mongolia. The planned mining area contains 35.4 billion tonnes in an area of 3,481km2.
