Culbert will be responsible for all of the Tennessee company’s financial interests, including accounting, information technology and the credit departments for United Central’s North American mining and industrial business and subsidiaries National Mine Service of Canada and Gooding Rubber.
The East Tennessee State University graduate and certified public accountant has been United Central’s controller for four years.
Late last month, United Central announced it had selected 32-year mining veteran Henry Looney as its new senior vice president.
Looney, who was also promoted, oversees sales and marketing activities for the company and both subsidiaries.
United Central Industrial Supply was established in 1974 and has 28 locations throughout the US and Canada.
