The Rig-152, created by Mitchell Drilling Corporation, has a drilling depth capacity of 2000m, is modular and fully automated.
Its telescopic mast can handle four-inch range two drill pipe and range three casing.
The unit offers a depth capacity of 2000m and 100,000kg load capacity. The two Sullair air compressors deliver 1100cfm/500psi and 1350cfm/350psi respectively and are mounted on a tri-axle trailer complete with walkways and manifold.
It also offers a modular, trailerised mud system and a 9in/3000psi blow-out preventer stack.
The mud pumps are two RS-800 700hp triplex pumps driven by Cat C-18 DITA engines, mounted on dual-axle trailers; with the generator sets are two Allight 350s.
Officially launched on October 29, the rig is equipped with state-of-the-art safety features and was designed to meet the specific needs of Australian producers.
