Next year’s AIMS conference will be held on June 3 and 4 in the German city of Aachen.
It will focus on high performance in the areas of mining automation, communication and infrastructure, and is calling on industry experts and research institutions to submit an abstract to take part in the conference.
The symposium aims to provide a platform for the exchange of international knowledge between the sectors of mining, tunnelling, suppliers and researchers.
This year’s conference, held in May, focused on rockbolting in mining, injection technology and roadway support systems.
Forty-four presentations by experts from Australia, Canada, Iran, Japan and European countries including Austria, Germany, Great Britain, Norway, Poland, Sweden, Switzerland and Turkey were contributed.
The AIMS organising committee is inviting submissions to be part of the 2009 symposium.
