The organisers are seeking abstracts on a range of coal-related subjects, including:
Heading development,
Mining methods, including longwall, bord and pillar, hydraulic, surface and highwall,
Geology and geophysics,
Strata management,
Ground control,
Pit slope stability instrumentation,
Mine subsidence,
Mine ventilation,
Mine gas drainage and outburst,
Mine fires and control,
Mine dust and control,
Risk management, and
Mine management and mine contract.
Abstracts are due September 15 with final papers due December 10, 2009, before the conference on February 11 and 12 next year.
