The shares are subject to a voluntary escrow restriction for a period of 12 months.

Cockatoo allotted the same amount of shares to Kores Australia three weeks ago.

Both Kores Australia and EWP were shareholders of Cockatoo before deciding to up their stakes.

Cockatoo said EWP was planning to develop two 1000-megawatt power stations and is investigating the suitability of Surat Basin coal to fuel them.

Shares in Cockatoo are unchanged at 47c this morning.
