BW’s GasAlertMicroClip simultaneously displays oxygen, hydrogen sulfide, carbon monoxide and lower explosive limit combustibles.
Weighing 160 grams, BW said the device could operate for 14 hours straight and recharged in less than three hours.
The gas detector is also water and dust resistant, and has a built-in concussion-proof boot to help survive any tumbles.
“The GasAlertMicroClip offers full function multi-gas performance with the simplicity, compact size and ease-of-use of a disposable gas detector,” BW Technologies’ representative Jason Jones said.
“The small size, long life and high specificity of the sensors mean the detector’s design is sleek, compact and functional.”
BW will have the detector on display at Stand 2137.
Agrekko is looking to demonstrate how its power and temperature control technology can save costs for the mining and energy sectors.
Specialised equipment from the company includes generators, air conditioners, chillers and cooling towers for use by mining and utility companies.
“If your business experiences power issues, is planning an expansion or requires process cooling or heating, Aggreko has a solution,” Aggreko sales and marketing director George Whyte said.
“We invite M&E visitors to spend some time with us to discuss how Aggreko helps companies maximise their operations or safeguards operations against costly downtimes with engineered, tailored solutions.”
The company’s mining equipment is not only used for mine-shaft cooling, but also shovel walking.
Aggreko supplies generators ranging from 15 kilowatts to 200 megawatts, and process cooling equipment from ultra-low temperature up to high-volume chilled water from cooling towers.
The company also provides electrical solutions for backup or continuous power during turnarounds and shutdowns.
Software company IFS is launching its new web interface, the IFS Enterprise Explorer, at Stand 106.
IFS said many innovations for the product were based on feedback over 10 years from more than 200 customers.
“IFS Enterprise Explorer includes new navigation technologies, such as adaptable link pages, visual recent screens and a Google-like search function,” IFS managing director for Australia and New Zealand Rob Stummer said.
“We wanted to develop a more user-friendly interface, enabling customers to surf their enterprises like they surf the web.”
APS Lighting & Safety will have the latest mine and industrial LED lighting products at Stand 2090.
The LED range also covers vehicle and access lighting, while the JW Speaker Corporation’s A735 LED work lamp will be featured at the stand, putting out 1000 lumens.
“This unit will outlast any halogen or high-intensity discharge while only drawing 1A on a 24VDC input,” APS Australia manager Steve Satherley said.
APS said the A735 was being standardised as forward lighting for heavy equipment, such as access area lighting on stairs and engine compartments, and as vehicle perimeter lighting.
The exhibition will be held at the Muswellbrook Showground from September 22-24.
