The MAC Services Group will today open its flagship village, located 150km west of Mackay.

“Our Coppabella Village is our largest facility in Australia with over 1600 accommodation rooms with quality resort-style services and facilities that add to our guests’ living experience while working away from home,” The Mac chief executive Mark Maloney said.

“Our innovative approach provides not just a place to sleep but a hospitality service that is breaking the mould of what is typically known as ‘fly-in, fly-out’ accommodation.”

The village features a multi-function court for playing tennis, basketball and volleyball, a lap and recreational pool, running track, a fully equipped in-house gymnasium, access to “The HUB” bar and restaurant, an onsite convenience store and dining facilities.

The Coppabella facility features ensuited cabins where guests have the comfort of an airconditioned private bedroom with a king-size single bed, desk, wireless internet facilities, fridge and television with in-house movies.

The $A85 million development is staffed by 100 people and has an expansion capacity of 900 cabins and an onsite motel.

Maloney said the facilities were being rolled out to all the company’s villages across Australia.
