Previously slated for Tuesday, a Construction Forestry Mining Energy Union representative told ILN Xstrata would discuss its new employment package with the union on Thursday and Friday.
Under the recent four-week long industrial action at Tahmoor, the mine’s wash plant was limited to 200 tonnes per hour of output.
The longwall was also running on limited cutting capacity.
While industrial action ceased last week, CFMEU district vice-president Graham White previously told ILN the union would decide whether to take further action after its meeting with Xstrata.
An Xstrata spokesperson has previously said its priorities are to ensure the best arrangement for its employees but also the long-term viability of the operation.
Tahmoor currently employs more than 300 workers after 158 were made redundant almost four months ago due to high production costs and lower coal prices, while 122 jobs were also cut from Xstrata’s Ulan mine.
