ACT open day to show Baal Bone, North Wambo equipment

The open day, to be held on January 27 and 28 next year at the company’s premises in Taren Point, Sydney, will feature a number of products heading underground early next year.

On display will be the Baal Bone Pan line manufactured by Longwall Associates USA which is to be installed in February, the first-ever Scorpion Multi-pull Cable Handler to be sold heading to North Wambo in January, a Longwall Associates sprocket assembly, ACT flight bars and JDT longwall chain and connectors.

“The Australian market hasn’t seen Longwall Associates pans for a number of years and the open day gives them an opportunity to visually examine the system prior to it going underground,” ACT Australia general manager David Condor said.

“We’ve been expanding the business rapidly and we wanted to give industry the opportunity to see our capabilities.”

ACT was this year appointed Longwall Associates’ Australian agent, enabling the company to add to its product portfolio of flight bars, JDT LW Chain/Enorm lifting solutions and Scorpion Cable Handler, with Longwall Associates armoured face conveyors and beam stage loaders.

ACT’s move to add Longwall Associates products to its line-up means Australian longwall mines now have more choice in underground armoured conveyor options.

The move also strengthens the range of longwall equipment and customer support on offer to ACT’s Australian clients.
