Coking coal was up A$180 million to $2180 million while steaming coal rose $167 million to $1552 million.
This was in line with other commodities with earnings by the Australian minerals and energy sector recording an overall nine percent rise to $15.6 billion, according to the Australian Mineral Statistics report.
Crude oil recorded the largest increase in export earnings in the quarter, up $581
million (54%) to $1663 million.
