The system can be used to upgrade a standard telephone rack system to provide a computerised emergency desk. It includes hardware and software to provide an operator with the ability to visualise and communicate with underground personnel using existing DAC equipment.
On top of the features offered with the standard desk, Austdac’s new product offers system activity and call logging, emergency procedure questionnaire prompting, and automatic and manual voice recording. Automatic voice recording permits the operator to record the details of an incident for later playback to other emergency personnel, whilst manual recording is particularly useful for personnel on back shifts where manning is limited.
The system also features a memo function where notes regarding equipment can be input to create a history file – a valuable aid in troubleshooting.
Austdac has released a new intelligent BMA amplifier, suitable for use on existing or new longwalls and conveyor systems, incorporating pre-start alarm, voice messaging and audio intercom facilities.
The BMA system is “system approved” which allows backwards integration of all Austdac and DAC BMA components. However, the approval prohibits the connection of other manufacturer’s components into the BMA system.
The new amplifier system has full fault diagnostic capabilities including durable front membrane with tactile keys, back lit LCD display with simple to operate menu driven displays, volume level setting, noise cancelling microphone, speaker monitoring, pre-start alarm (PSA) tone initiate and confirm status monitoring, battery management software, lower line charge current, and remote handset and headset facilities.
