Samuel Cario, previously general manager of Cumberland Coal Resources, has been promoted to Pennsylvania Services vice president. In this position he will coordinate activities related to land, environmental, and coalbed methane.
Cario previously held various positions within the Pennsylvania business unit including longwall coordinator, senior staff mine engineer and manager of engineering. His mining and engineering experience spans 24 years.
Cario will take over from Charles Zabrosky who will now oversee special projects. Zabrosky brings 30-years mining and engineering experience to his new post.
John Dzurino, previously mine manager Cumberland Coal Resources, has been promoted to Cumberland Coal Resources general manager. Dzurino has held a variety of positions including utility foreman, section foreman, mining engineer and manager of engineering. Dzurino brings 28-years experience to his new position.
Jeffrey Kukura, previously manager of engineering at Cumberland Coal Resources, has been promoted to Cumberland Coal Resources mine manager. Kukura brings 18-years experience to the position.
He has previously held the positions of shift foreman, safety supervisor, mining engineer, continuous miner coordinator, longwall coordinator, and preparation plant manager.
Janet Gapen has been named sourcing manager, and will oversee all aspects of sourcing and supply chain activities.
Foundation is a major US coal producer with 13 coal mines and related facilities in Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Illinois, and Wyoming.
