It said it was seeking rail or barge deliveries of coal to its Conesville plant in Ohio beginning in the second quarter and ending in the final quarter of 2014.
AEPGR is also seeking term proposals for coal for the same coal-fired facility via rail or barge to begin in the second quarter of the year.
It said the contract could last three to five years.
Alternative pricing structures or other innovative, value-added concepts are being accepted for the proposals.
Those seeking to bid must submit proposals no later than 5pm local time on January 23.
