Catelin received the award in recognition of his global advocacy at the WCA on sustainable development, as well as his work on coal and the environment.
“It’s an honour to be given this prestigious award and I thank Advance for providing a platform for Australians who have contributed to their chosen field to be recognised for their vision and ambition,” Catelin said.
Over the past 20 years, Catelin has worked within the United Nations Environment Programme on public private partnerships and has been involved in numerous environmental action projects and climate change programs.
