Five out of the company’s eight subsidiaries produced more than its monthly target.
According to figures released by the company, Eastern Coalfields produced 3.3 million tonnes during April, against a target of 3.18Mt, surpassing its target by 4%.
It registered a 9.3% growth over the same period in 2013.
Bharat Coking Coal produced 2.95Mt and exceeded its target by 7% during the month registering a 9.1% growth
Central Coalfields passed its target by 8% at 3.13Mt, although this was a decrease of 10% from the previous year.
Subsidiaries that fell short of its targets were Northern Coalfields, Western Coalfields and South Eastern Coalfields.
