The 169Mt boost to the sub-bituminous deposit was the outcome of last year’s drilling program.
Total resources comprise 14.7Mt in the measured category, 198.4Mt indicated and the rest is inferred.
More drilling is planned for this calendar year.
The exploration licence was previously held by Felix Resources but was not included as part of the acquisition of this company by Yanzhou Coal Mining in early 2010.
While there were previous plans to list former Felix subsidiary South Australian Coal, the company was taken over by coal upgrading technology specialist White Energy through a scrip-based deal last year.
This transaction led to ex-Felix duo Brian Flannery and Travers Duncan taking over the reins of White Energy.
Exploration results at SAC’s project determine the level of performance shares to be issued to relevant shareholders in accordance to the bidder’s statement White Energy announced on June 7.
Shares in the explorer were up 1c to $2.85 this morning.
