The event, which is held every year at the University of Wollongong in February, will be expanding its focus for the first time beyond underground coal mining.
“An early compilation of the list of the intended papers will help us to plan a preliminary programme for the two day conference,” Aziz said.
"We would like to receive your abstracts on time, if you are planning to submit a paper to the conference.
“For the first time we are expecting to receive papers from opencast mining in addition to our regular papers on underground mining. Also, we are planning to hold a special technical session on Pike River mine disaster.”
For further information on the conference, including the information of conference online abstract submission, sponsorship and exhibition stands can be found in the conference website http://www.coalconference.net.au/.
