Nepean has also confirmed it has set up a business in China called Nepean Asia, located in the Pearl River Delta city of Zhongshan, which will support all Nepean companies in their business dealings with Asian and Chinese companies.
The changes would provide Nepean with the strongest leadership to deliver better products and services to its customers, Nepean chief executive Miles Fuller said.
“We found that whilst our individual mining companies are strong in their specialist areas, there is much more we can achieve if we engage with our customers more closely and operate as one Nepean mining team,” he said.
Eveleigh’s role will focus on enhancing customer relationships and sales and service processes, and ensuring closer collaboration between each of the mining businesses.
He brought depth of mining industry experience established during his mining sales career and his time as managing director of Nepean Longwall (formally Inbye Mining Services), Fuller said.
Adam Gledhill has been appointed managing director of Nepean Longwall.
Gledhill had extensive business and commercial experience as a key member of Nepean’s Longwall executive for the past five years, Fuller said, and his deep understanding of the longwall business would ensure the continuing development of Nepean Longwall as an important system supplier and aftermarket company.
Geoff Sweeney will be appointed director of operations mining division and will work across the mining companies to implement critical divisional operational initiatives. Sweeney was previously the founding managing director of Nepean Power.
Rolf Van Rooyen has been appointed managing director of Nepean Conveyors. Formerly general manager of Nepean Conveyors, Van Rooyen brings solid career experiences in manufacturing, engineering, project management and sales in both South Africa and Australia.
Rowan Molloy has been appointed general manager Nepean Power. Molloy recently joined Nepean Power and brings experience in operational management and technical knowledge to the company.
Fuller said a number of Nepean companies already had significant alliances with major Chinese customers and manufacturers. Nepean Asia had experienced local resources in marketing, commercial, logistics and engineering, he said.
