Wesfarmers on Friday revised its production expectations of metallurgical coal from 6.5-6.9 million tonnes to 6.1-6.5Mt
As of Friday, the levee protecting Curragh North's operations continued to hold against the Mackenzie River floodwaters.
Wesfarmers said conditions would be closely monitored over the next few days following the overnight flood peak.
Two draglines earlier in the week had been relocated to safe ground.
Wesfarmers Coal managing director Stewart Butel said limited mining was underway at Curragh and Curragh East operations.
"Mining at Curragh North is expected to recommence early next month but will take some time to return to full production," Butel said.
Curragh declared force majeure on all export and domestic contract on January 15.
