Major resource increase at Guluguba

COCKATOO Coal has confirmed a measured resource of 103 million tonnes of coal at its Guluguba project in Queensland’s Surat Basin, a significant increase on the previous indicated resource of 56Mt.

Software developer and provider Mincom completed the review and modelling of the results of a drilling program that finished late in 2007.

Modelling of the raw coal analyses and detailed ply-by-ply correlation defined five mineable seams, with a 103.53Mt measured resource of raw product with a strip ratio of 4.2:1.0.
