Industrea’s Beijing-based subsidiary, Wadam Industries, will supply FTA’s filtration systems, which are designed for the mining, construction and heavy equipment industries, through to October 2012.
Manufactured in Newcastle, FTA’s filtration systems are used in hydraulics, final drives, gearboxes, engines and fuel delivery systems.
“The filtration systems are capable of reducing particle contamination by up to 90 per cent, thereby reducing maintenance costs, increasing the availability of heavy equipment and extending component life,” Industrea said.
Industrea managing director and chief executive Robin Levison said he was delighted to add the innovative Australian-made filtration systems to Industrea’s suite of products.
“This technology will also open the door to new industry sectors for Industrea, allowing us to further leverage the investment in our Chinese product support centre established earlier this year,” he said.
FTA managing director Brian Bondi said the fast-growing Chinese market was considered to be crucial for the company’s long-term success.
“Industrea is used to working with the most advanced products in their field and we see them as the perfect partner, given their established base in China and excellent reputation for customer service and delivery,” he said.
Last month Industrea won another three-year distribution agreement in China, for Marathon’s rubber-liner insertion machines and RL run flat tyre inserts for use in underground coal mining vehicles.
Industrea will be attending the upcoming China Coal and Mining Expo 2009 in Beijing, and Levison said China’s economic transformation was generating rapid growth for the company.
“The more than $33 million in new product contracts won since the start of the 2010 financial year are indicative of the potential for our business and we see a strong outlook for the year ahead,” he said.
Shares in Industrea shed half a cent to A47.5c this morning.
