The event, which the agency is presenting in conjunction with the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Heath, is scheduled for June 2 from 8am to 4pm at the agency’s National Health and Safety Academy in Beaver.
Presentations from NIOSH researchers as well as experts from MSHA’s Technical Support department and headquarters office are on the itinerary. Topics to be covered include mine design for proper pillar recovery, the latest on the groups’ Preventive Roof/Rib Outreach Program (PROP), and an update on available roof control products.
Professional engineers will be able to earn professional development hours for the seminar.
