The scholarship provides funding to complete the world-class Company Directors Course at the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

“This initiative aims to increase female participation on company boards within the minerals industry,” Minerals Council director of workforce skills health and safety Dr Gavin Lind said.

“The AICD course equips graduates with the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in a company director role.”

Now in its fifth year, the program has already funded 15 women to complete the Company Directors Course.

Applications are open for four scholarships.

To be eligible, applicants must be Australia-based and be nominated by an MCA member or associate member company.
