Saracen is now seeking a highly experienced General Manager to take the Carosue Dam Operations (CDO) to the next level and deliver maximum value to shareholders.
The Role
As a highly experienced and results-driven individual reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of CDO including the management and coordination of the Company’s mining, processing and support functions on site.
You will be expected to create, implement and monitor business plans against KPIs as well as introducing systems to ensure the latest technical improvement are identified, assessed and applied to the operations.
You will also be required to continue the programme of continuous business improvement and expand the high performance culture through the further development of an experienced and cohesive team.

You will be a strong leader and have a proven track record in delivering business critical projects and developing strong working relationships with operational and asset level management. With a proven track record in leading teams, your ability to challenge the statusquo and develop a high performance culture will see you succeed.
Requirements
- Formal qualification in a mining related discipline;
- At least 10 years’ experience at a senior level on site;
- Previous roles as General Manager of an operating mine will be looked upon favourably, as would a proven track record of delivering results and a high level of commercial acumen with sound financial, tendering, budgeting and reporting skills;and
- High regard for safety.
