NEW LEOPARD™ DI650I: MORE INTELLIGENT DTH SURFACE DRILLING

Sandvik Mining and Rock Technology expands its high-pressure DTH drill rig offering with a new model, Leopard DI650i, designed for larger hole sizes. Balancing proven engineering solutions and innovative new components, the new DTH rig offers excellent fuel efficiency, improved safety and higher productivity in challenging rock conditions.

TIME FOR A NEW LEADER

Leopard DI650i down-the-hole (DTH) drill rig is designed for demanding high-capacity production drilling applications in surface mining, as well as large-scale quarry applications. In addition to a powerful engine and compressor, Leopard DI650i incorporates a highly ergonomic iCAB cabin, excellent serviceability, mobility and fuel economy, along with scalable automation packages to offer excellent overall productivity.

Excellent boom reach, collaring height, feed drilling angles combined with tramming power of 168 kN and excellent stability ensure the best possible drilling coverage area in difficult terrain. These features make the Leopard DI650i an essential choice for different production and pre-split DTH drilling applications.

SCALABLE AUTOMATION ADAPTING TO YOUR NEEDS

The scalable automation concept offers an intelligent drill rig platform where automation options and digital services can be selected to speed up your production process and support your mine operations. All the options can be also easily added and expanded afterwards according to future automation demands.

The latest onboard options include TIM3D drill navigation with wireless data transfer, My Sandvik fleet monitoring system and full-cycle drilling automatics, which merge functionalities such uncoupling, feed auto-aligning and feed auto positioning into a single efficient sequence. These capabilities can be further upgraded with more advanced modules such as single-rig or fleet remote control systems by Automine® Surface Drilling.

ENJOY DRILLING IN NEW iCAB CABIN

The new iCab cabin offers the best driller experience with excellent visibility to the drilling area. iCab is FOPS & ROPS certified with HEPA and optional HEPA H13 filter. It is also the most silent and ergonomic cabin in DTH drill rigs. All machine information is seamlessly integrated on one touch display. There is also room for the trainer or service technician behind the operator seat.

DRILL FASTER AND SUCCEED HARDER

Built on our proven i-series intelligent drill platform and our scalable automation design the Leopard DI650i is the perfect match for our RH560 6" DTH hammer, making it uniquely productive while keeping fuel consumption and operating costs to a minimum.

The all-new RH560 hammer helps you to drill faster because of its improved air cycle. Less air is required, making the penetration rate higher. RH560 is your reliable and powerful drilling companion with proven Sandvik technology.

Available in the most challenging of rock conditions, while still retaining the low fuel consumption of the traditional pressure control approach in easy ground conditions.
