One of Australia's leading Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) has engaged National Machinery Xchange (NMX), part of the National Group as the exclusive agency to manage the sale of surplus CAT® parts and components.

This open market tender received a high level of applications from some of the biggest names in the industry, however NMX, part of a larger group of companies known as the National Group, secured this tender.

NMX, part of the National Group is a leading valuation and auction house for the mining, energy, construction, transport and agricultural industries. NMX regularly holds auctions that caters for buyer and sellers, offering valuation services and finance options such as monthly instalments.

"We are very happy to have won this tender, it is a testament to the flexibility of our approach - we don't just offer services, we work with our clients to devise dynamic and appropriate solutions" explained Simon Brown, NMX General Manager.

"NMX developed an appropriate sales and remarketing strategy that included traditional and digital marketing approaches. After evaluating our clients' needs, we recommended the sale of assets on an ‘as is where is' basis with the utilisation of the National Group's wider industry network and communication vehicles. With NMX being part of the National Group of companies, we were also able to offer various benefits, efficiencies and therefore cost savings through complementary entities such as National Heavy Haulage".

"Our approach is not just to offer ‘exactly what it says on the tin' but to work with clients to offer flexible solutions, something that our competitors are often unable to offer" suggests Mark Ackroyd, National Group Managing Director.

"We take this approach for all of our entities such as National Plant & Equipment (NPE), NMX or any company that forms part of the National Group, which has been a key factor for our substantial growth".
