Makes sense to go with TyreSense

A leader in the development and manufacture of off-the-road wheels and TyreSense, the world's most trusted tyre pressure and temperature monitoring system, RIMEX this year celebrates 45 years of excellence and innovation.

RIMEX and TyreSense are now excited to take our product and service offering to a new level. In addition to producing quality wheels and a patented TPMS, we now offer the TyreSense Asset Management software module which helps manage and maintain the service life and performance of your critical assets. One that is not just focused on asset tracking but supplying the necessary data for the Client to make educated decisions on tyre and rim selection, maintenance and cost saving initiatives.

"The vision for TyreSense was not just to perfect tyre monitoring, but to enhance overall fleet management. We wanted to give our clients the most sophisticated tyre and wheel management system possible, one that tracks costs per hour and operational efficiency," said Dave Laird, one of the founders of TyreSense.

The web-based software is designed to be user friendly, assisting clients in managing critical aspects for overall asset performance, cost, stock forecasting and regulatory compliance.

"The software will report efficiencies and performance of tyre makes, models and compounds to build a platform for developing strategic, site specific tyre management plans based on performance data and improve equipment operational time," said Brad Staker, Senior TyreSense Technician.

One of the key features is the tracking and prompting of tyre rotations and rim inspections as well as logging the status and costs of all tyres and rims. Inspection reports and conformance certificates can be uploaded into the system, something many systems in the market currently don't allow for.

"Whilst TyreSense Asset Management can be used very effectively as a standalone module, our vision is to augment it with capabilities provided by current and next generation TyreSense HUB hardware. We are excited about the integration of our sensor capabilities ranging from tyre temperatures and pressures, GPS positioning, vehicle inertial measurements and extended vehicle protocols. Mining this data, we are able to extract intelligence related to asset utilization and how it affects performance.

"Imagine an end-of-life tyre report that showed not only the current usual data but new more advanced data such as tonnes of ore a tyre has moved over its life, tonnes per mm of tread, lateral force and super elevation effects on the tyre as well as fuel consumption based on tyre rolling resistance.

"We believe that our customers make the best operational decisions when they are equipped with accurate performance metrics. This has always been a core design goal within our TyreSense group and remains our primary directive going forward."

In Australia, TyreSense is currently fitted to more than 2200 machines across 68 mine sites and provides an objective, unbiased approach to monitoring tyres accurately and managing the productivity and safety of entire fleets.

TyreSense Asset Management together with Gen4-HUB receiver hardware will have its official launch at the 2021 Minexpo, which will be held in Las Vegas from September 13 - 15.
