Prospectors release new core trays

The CoreSafe core trays have been released by Australian equipment suppliers Prospectors Earth Sciences and are designed to make handling core safer and easier.

The company claimed the tray’s unique design will help to reduce manual handling injuries, prevent valuable drill core from loss or damage, and significantly improve drill productivity.

Prospectors said in a statement that CoreSafe trays included a number of new design features to make working with core trays easier, including:

  • Handles on the sides and ends of the tray to reduce manual handling injuries;
  • Flat bases that work easily with conveyor systems, workbenches, spectrometers and pallets;
  • A “no corner design” that results in no sharp edges, preventing cuts, bruises, and damage to workers clothing;
  • The trays are designed to slide one atop the other, locking into place to form a stable stack.

The trays are available in both an ‘ultimate’ and ‘slimline’ range. They were developed in Australia in consultation with mining and exploration companies.
