The proposed contract for Action Drill & Blast is to have a 36-month term and an estimated value of $40 million.

Action Drill & Blast is already operating on site under agreed terms pending finalisation of the contract details.

Stanmore Coal famously acquired Isaac Plains from Vale and Sumitomo Corporation for $1 in July.

Besides the 1.1 million tonne per annum thermal and coking coal operation it also got:

  • A Bucyrus 1370W dragline;
  • A coal handling, preparation and processing facility with a 500 tonne per hour nameplate capacity;
  • Dedicated train loadout and rail spur facilities that connect to the Goonyella rail system; and
  • Assorted critical spares and workshop goods.

Isaac Plains is about 180km southwest of Mackay, Queenland, 172km by rail from the Dalrymple Bay coal terminal and 7km from Moranbah in the Bowen Basin.

Golding has been contracted to deliver waste removal, coal mining and coal processing operations for three years.

Stanmore is to provide certain plant such as the dragline and the CHPP.
