L&L taps China coal exec for advisory seat

The American-educated Schaeffer, known internationally in energy and resources circles as well as the banking and financial institution sector for more than 30 years, was previously the Asia Pacific executive director for industry consultant John T Boyd stationed in Beijing.

L&L did not indicate the effective date of the appointment but company chairman and CEO Dickson Lee commented on his proven executive experience in the country.

“Adding professionals with these two attributes will benefit the core of our business as we continue to expand our operations to other areas of China,” he said.

Schaeffer, a registered professional engineer in Kentucky, Pennsylvania and West Virginia, is a member of the International Society of Mining, Metallurgy, and Exploration.
