The scholarships will be offered in the fields of engineering, environmental science and business, each up to the value of $7000 for students who originate from the Wingecarribee Shire.
Hume Coal spokesman Ben Fitzsimmons said the company is proud to have supported many local community members through traineeships and apprenticeships, and looked forward to supporting students undertaking tertiary study and achieving their education goals.
“We recognise the importance of upskilling and further education and our Charitable Foundation is committed to supporting those embarking on this journey,” he said.
