Bluestone Mines is a 50:50 joint venture between Metals X and China's Yunnan Tin Group.

As part of a $23.9 million engineering, procurement and construction contract GRES is to design, supply installation and carry out commissioning of a paste backfill plant and associated infrastructure at Renison, following the completion of early front-end engineering design work on the paste plant.

GRES was also awarded a $7.8 million contract for a high-voltage power upgrade project at Renison that includes the design, supply and installation of transformers and HV switchgear for Bluestone's existing main switchyard.

Work has already started on this project.

In a statement to the Australian Securities Exchange GRES managing director Geoff Jones said the work would be performed by its teams in Queensland and Tasmania.

"GR Engineering has been pleased to support Bluestone Mines on multiple projects over the past two years and has developed a strong working relationship with management and the on-site team," he said.
