"This joint venture will give us the technical advantage of combining the resources and engineering expertise of a global company and the support of a local company. This also means we can respond immediately to the customers needs," Chesterton Customseal general manager Gavin Taylor said.

"Chesterton's wealth of experience in solutions for longwall hydraulic cylinders is very broad."

Having just moved into new purpose-built facilities in Western Australia, the new venture now offers 24/7 service.

The company offers seal manufacturing sizes to 2.4 metres in diameter and sealing materials specially suited for the corrosive and abrasive environments that longwall cylinders operate in.
