Since its formation in February 2005, Martin Engineering Services Group, based in Kirkland, Washington, has offered “turnkey” project management, engineering, procurement and construction services to the bulk materials handling industries.
The company said it is focused on the development of Martin Engineering’s conveyor technologies, including air-supported conveyors and transfer chutes.
Stahura Industrial Services, based in Butler, Pennsylvania, brings six employees and more than 11 years experience in improving solids handling to Martin Engineering.
Stahura said since 1994 it has utilised innovative technologies – including 3D CAD solid modelling, Dynamic Flow Simulation and laser measurement to provide services to industry. Typical projects have included improvements to conveyor belts, crushers, chutes, feeders, load zones, bunkers, stack-out systems, reclaim units and barge unloaders.
Martin Engineering president Steve Laccinole said the addition of Stahura both broadens and strengthens the capabilities of the company.
“Combining the technological and people assets from both companies makes the sum greater than the parts. We are combining the assets in a way that enhances our abilities to deliver unparalleled services to the bulk materials handling industry,” Laccinole said.
Andrew J Stahura III, formerly general manager of Stahura Industrial Services, will join Martin Engineering Services Group as a senior project manager.
Martin Engineering Services Group is the engineering and project management business unit of Martin Engineering.
